How to get found as a jobseeker In Search engines?

Updated: Jan 16

Understanding Your Privacy Settings | LinkedIn

As per LinkedIn- You control your profile and can limit what is shown on search engines and other off-LinkedIn services. Viewers who aren’t signed in to LinkedIn will see all or some portions of the profile view displayed below. Learn about LinkedIn on a live course or optimize your LinkedIn to stand out on the recruiter’s search.

Take a look at what people see without logging in to LinkedIn themselves. Try to test it yourself. Google your name and see what pops up without you logging in. Public Profile settings are exactly what you see without logging in on LinkedIn. Your entire profile is visible by default unless you control the privacy setting based on the 1st, 2nd connection, and your network. You could control who can see your picture, summary, current positions, education, website, groups, the company you follow, etc.

If you are a job seeker and unemployed or entrepreneur, the full view of your profile (public) is recommended. Be cautious if you’re not looking to disclose all of your information, go to the Profiles Settings section, and update by unchecking the profile features that you don’t want to be displayed publicly. Check the video tutorial for the guide on how to control the privacy settings.

Do you want your LinkedIn profile to appear in public searches i.e in Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc?
